I purposely waited a four weeks to respond to this survey because I wanted to field test the repairs that Zaloom's made to my car before I rated my service experience. At this point, I am completely and utterly impressed with Zalooms and heres why. They fixed a problem an engine light problem my local dealership could not, which blew my mind, because my belief was that the local dealership was the end all be all for car repairs. I found Zalooms by a Google search about six months after losing my faith in the dealership. As a female who is uneducated about cars, I am extremely nervous about working with a new dealership because Ive experienced that phenomenon where female drivers are treated like easy target by service garages. So, let me tell you how respectfully I was treated. Not only was I extremely pleased that I could make a service appointment online and at my convenience, but also, I was dumbfounded by how quick they actually responded to me! Whats even more confusing is that they were actually nice about it! My experiences here with NYC-based businesses is that many really dont care if youre their customer or not, sadly. The emphasis on customer service has diminished considerably in our society, but clearly not at Zalooms! The two gentlemen at the front desk with whom I interacted Joe and his father, George were extremely patient with my apprehension and presented themselves like capable and competent little private car detectives. I sat there thinking to myself, "Oh my God, this problem might actually get fixed after all -- wholly cow, Batman!" What really impressed me most was the fact that I got to actually meet and speak with my mechanic a real, live human being which made me feel 100% better at that scary point in this year-long process to get this car fixed and prepped to pass inspection in March. My mechanic, whose name I clearly forget (sorry!), cared so much about my car situation that he even went the extra mile to show me a small work around that kept me sane until the replacement part arrived for my turn signal problem. The icing on the cake was that the owner had an overnight drop box, which enabled me to drop off my car and key at 5:30 a.m. that morning before I boarded a plane out of town for business. I was even given the option to pay over the phone while away on business if that was convenient for me. I was so overwhelmed with the great customer service I received that I signed up my car for a radiator flushing. And once it passes inspection in March, I plan on having them fix the fuel line problem that I havent had the confidence in anyone else to take a look at. Bottom line, I am a business woman, and I am particularly difficult to please. I expect great things from a business that wants my loyalty, trust and referrals. Naturally, I do not dish out regularly my seal of approval in todays business world, so this speaks volumes for me that Zalooms is getting it here today in this evaluation. I can assure you of this one thing: if every customer is treated as my car and I were, then every customer should expect to have a similarly positive experience just as I did.
