This is a wonderful, honest, courteous, friendly, efficient family-run (and family-like) business that really lives up to and actually goes beyond its 5 star reviews. I brought my car in for inspection last week and also because there was clearly a problem with new brakes I had gotten several months ago. Joe listened patiently as I explained the issues I had been having with the breaks. It turned out that the repair place I had previously taken my car to and to which I had also returned to have them check the brakes, had never properly installed the rear brakes. I was given a two-hour estimate for the repairs, and in two hours they were finished with fixing the breaks as well as the alignment and cleaning the headlights. Ed, the service manager, also took his time to answer all my questions about these and other possible future repairs even though it was clear that the shop was very busy. This is the kind of place where a customer stops by to drop off a card and Christmas gift for them, and they also give a nice little holiday gift to their customers, even a new one like me. Not to mention the fact that while I was waiting, I mentioned that I was going to walk over to the Starbuck's to sit and do some work, and Joe actually offered me a card to buy a coffee while I waited which was another pleasant surprise.I am a single woman who has always dreaded having to bring my car to the mechanic (I always felt like I was being talked down to or getting ripped off), but now that I have found Zaloom's, I will never, ever bring my car to another mechanic (I just moved to Queens, and yes, I will be driving back to SI when I need some work done). Don't bother going anywhere else-go to Zaloom's. It's not hype; it's the perfect example of a well-run family business that gives their customers A+ service and that goes the extra mile. You can tell that not only in the way the staff deal with customers, but also by the pleasant atmosphere amongst customers in the waiting room. Thank you, Zaloom's and Happy Holidays!
