I came into the shop last week for what I thought would be an oil change and inspection. Upon the "courtesy check" I was informed I needed new breaks. TBH, I drive with a lead foot from time to time (not hard to believe on Staten Island) and although I wasn't happy to hear that news I went ahead and let the make the repairs. The price was better than I expected for pads and rotors but the real value came Saturday afternoon. I was driving along Richmond Rd. and as traffic was moving along a man jumped out in the intersection, by where Carvel is located, and I had to come to an immediate stop or he was getting hit - HARD! Breaks worked great and potential tragedy was avoided! I am never a fan of spending money unexpectedly, but I will never regret doing so at this shop. A simple "courtesy check" taught me a big lesson about car maintenance and made a teachable lesson for me instead of an unnecessary tragedy. I owe this shop and will be a customer for life!
